Working for me... I just put some in for Feb 1st to test and they're OK.

OK, there is something weird going on. They all show in the calendar for me, and I can see all events in teh Views module, but they won't display on custom blocks I've created. And, one that was working for me (a Valentines Day event) disappeared after I edited it and re-saved it.
I think there might be something funny going on with the table connections right now... Not sure what, but I'm sure Tom will be onto it as soon as he checks his email or looks at this post.

I have an April 30 event that doesn't show up in MOnth view BUT does show up in Year or Week view

I have the same issue, with a couple of others related to this.

I had emailed Tom suggesting that the selection criteria for the month is possibly in GMT, which he agreed might be happening. So the late-in-the-day events "fall off" the month's calendar which is in EST. As a workaround I set the start time to before midnight GMT on Jan 31 (but in the event title put the real start time) so it shows on the calendar.
I hope a fix is on its way.

I don't think that's all of it (though that might also be true), because I had an event in my list before a Valentines Day one that didn't show in certain cases, but the V-Day one did, until I saved the V-Day one again after making some changes... then that also disappeared.
The other interesting thing for me is that when I look via the Views functionality, I see everything (all events), but not when there's a calendar or display involved. I'm wondering if there's a permissions issue somewhere that's causing us problems.

My event on April 30th that doesn't show up in Month view but does in week or year view, is our regular rehearsal. I don't think the time has any impact on it.
As the Calendar module is dependent on the Views module I wonder if Tom were update the Views module if that would help... of course there is the possibility that Updating Views to a more recent revision could break some of Tom's custom written modules.

For our Jan 31 event, when I changed the time to before 19:00 the event is now in the monthly calendar; when it was 19:00 or later it did not show. It may be just coincidence that 19:00 is midnight GMT, but I doubt it. Ian did you try changing the time of your event to before midnight GMT to see if it appears? [That would be 17:00 if you are using MST]

Holy crap. Moving the time ahead for that one event made it visible. Makes me wonder why all the rest of the events at the correct time every Monday are fine

We've been having trouble with a Calendar event we created today for June 30. The event appears when you search dates on the Attendance page. But nothing shows on the Calendar.

Almost like it doesn't like the last day of the month.

Mine turned out to be a weird access setting that had been reset at some stage, but hadn't been applied to existign calendar items... so my issue isn't related.
For those events that aren't showing, can you see them when you look at the view display (via the Site Building menu option), as opposed to when you view it as a user, or is it an issue both ways?

For us it is an issue both Admins and Users. The events can be seen from the Attendance List, but not from the calendar itself.

This is pretty puzzling! Haven't changed the calendar module lately, and since it's being used by more than 70,000 web sites all over the world, one would think others would be noticing this issue and it would get fixed.
Can't find anything current and relevant in the calendar module issues list:
http://drupal.org/project/calendar
And why would this issue apparently start happening in the past few weeks??
I'll have to mull this over but in the mean time, any workaround suggestions or found solutions would be greatly appreciated!
Tom
It seems like the last day of the month is where the issue crops up. The event seems normal on the Attendance page but does not appear on the Calendar.
Carol Ward - Pacific Sound Chorus; Harmony Northwest Chorus
Well it looks like our June 30 event on the calendar is working again. Thanks, Tom!
Our rehearsal on July 31 (last day of the month again.) is missing on the calendar. Hmmm.

My April 30 event still only shows if I have it a 5 pm rather than the correct time of 7 pm.

Interesting... I'm in NZ (UTC - 12).
I added a 'Performance' event (with attendance recording enabled) at 8am on the 29th of February. I can see it in Month and Week, but not Day view.
I also added a 'Performance' event (with attendance recording enabled) at 8pm on the 29th of February. I can see it in Month, Week and Day view.
I can see both in the Attendance Summary view, both appear in the Attendance Report. Both also appear on the Attendance tab against my profile.
Both appear in the Views area, and in additional displays of views I've created for the public.

Plot thickening. I can create and view events in the month view on the last day of the month (Feb 29) on my test system, but not on vocalmotion's site. So if we can track down the difference perhaps we can fix this!
I found that this is indeed a problem with the date module, version 2.8. This was a security patch so we had no choice but to apply it - our policy is that security related upgrades must happen quickly.
Details: http://drupal.org/node/1411872
So hang in there folks - this is a critical issue so I expect it will be fixed soon!
Tom
I assume this isn't fixed yet, because I just noticed that our last-day-of-March performance event isn't showing. The event for me will show up when set to anything earlier than 5 PM PT. This would be 1 AM GMT (not midnight) so I'm not sure it will turn out to be a GMT-related problem, unless all the mysteries of daylight savings time are involved as well.
Tom, it's been about two months since there was progress on this, is it possible to find out if the problem has been fixed yet?
