I entered a forum topic and couldn't find it later. I found it via the search feature. I'd forgotten to choose a forum!
Shouldn't your current forum be the default forum selected when you enter a new forum topic? And, frankly, why do you have to choose a forum anyway?
That really is a drag. I always expect the forum drop-down to auto-populate. (When will I learn?)
I did a google search for a drupal module that fixes this issue, but no luck so far...
