How do delete or prevent the author information from the home (public) page? The time, date and author's picture show up near the top of the page and I'd like that info to be hidden or deleted.

If I remember correctly, on the edit page for the home page scroll to the bottom and change the settings in the "Authoring information" section.

I think that its done through Admin > Content Management > Content Types
Choose your content type (public_page) and then Manage Fields
I think in there you can remove the Authoring Information from displaying
Its a long time since I removed authoring info from my pages... could be wrong

You can move the Authoring Info up and down the list of fields but there is no way to delete it.
