Through an error when creating a new user, we have ended up with a 'ghost' member who does not actually exist, but there is no facility under Users to edit this particular profile so we can neither update the profile nor DELETE it.
Because it lurks in the background, the ghost member adds to our actual membership numbers and appears on the bottom of all our Attendance lists, confusing the numbers.
I repeat that there is no name or actual profile for this user and there is no edit button that would allow us to delete it.
Please can you help?

I've got the same thing, a couple of blank member names that show up in the attendance module. Tom is aware of my issue so hopefully it will get fixed soon.

I caused a bad user by importing an improper file. I finally got rid of the bad entry by going to Administer->User Management->Users, checking the box by the bad entry, setting Update Options to "Delete the selected users", and clicking update.
Hope this helps...

I saw the same thing. The "ghost" user showed up in attendance after I deleted an old member. He had an attendance record previously. With my database background, I'm assuming that the members record was deleted. But, the accompanying record(s) in the attendance module are still present. So their records show up in attendance. But, without a member record, there is no name to display. We've started blocking old members and are setting a policy to not delete for about 12 months. That fixes our problem. It also allows us to look at the historical records for old members for another 12 months.
