All for some reason my users are not able to login to Groupanizer with their iPhone. The iPad works fine, but not the iPhone. It looks accepts the username and password, but then returns to the login screen.
Ideas?
I've seen a similar problem with someone using a NetBook. She can log in from other PCs but the NetBook reacts the same as above. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Hmm- I can't replicate this issue with my iphone and your site, Carole - it works fine for me. That makes me think that it's a caching issue in the phone somewhere. You can have them delete their cache the following way: for iPhone for regular browsers
Hope that helps!

I can also not replicate this issue, but I have at least 3 users that have an issue with this. I have had them clear the cache and delete their favorite link and enter a new one... That has not fixed the issue.
One user was able to get back on after they had logged on from their home computer, but I don't think that provides any fix...
Any other ideas?
This has something to do with the old Login redirection and the iPhone being to smart for it's own good... I have had the users deleted the favorite, clear the Safari cache and manually enter the link. The iPhone persists in adding /dashboard to the end of the link and that is causing the user issues.
I have not figured out how to make the iPhone not be so smart...:)
Hi Carole,
Have you tried specifically emptying the iPhone cache yet? See above for a link with a tutorial on how to do that.. Sounds like it should work.....
Let me know!

Is there a chance they are using a different browser? I know that there is also a chrome app on the iPhone.. Thinking outside the box here... Any other ideas?

I log in regularly from my iphone 4 without any trouble. I do notice that on your site, after logging in it goes to "/dashboard" when normally it should be going to the root (since yours is a "members only" site with no public site configured). So that's possibly a related piece of the puzzle...
Here's what I suggest - get someone to make it fail in this way, and take a look at what the log says.

Hi Carole,
This is a really isolated case - I can't help but wonder if she is entering the correct password? Also, can YOU login through her phone?
We all have iphones over here, and no one has any login issues - it sounds like it may have to do with her phone...

Based on those log entries, I'd say that she has disabled cookies on her iPhone. Without the cookie, you'll log in but it won't stick.
Are you able to check that on her phone?
This is kind of outside of our normal support function.

Oh, that's great - would you mind sharing what you needed to enable, so others who have the same problem and stumble on this forum topic know what you did?
Thanks Carole!!

I am having the same issue with one person who can't login since her hard drive/pc has been rebuilt.
I can login using her details just fine, but on her pc she gets "access denied". I've tried deleting her cache in google chrome and also tried through internet explorer but she still can't get in.
I have had several members with this type of issue, I think it probably comes down to cookie issues most of the time. In the relevant case, somebody got a new computer and couldn't login to Groupanizer...after much agonizing debugging (with Tom) it turned out that he had set the DATE on his computer one day ahead, so as soon as Groupanizer created a login cookie it was expired because the cookie timeout was less than 24 hours and the computer was set 24 hours ahead. So the symptom in the log was a successful login followed by an immediate access denied.
FYI, there is a case I never solved of somebody using an AOL version of Internet Explorer. The first time she logged in she'd get access denied, then login again and all was fine. Happened to her many times. Sigh.

The link you sent is just for the Safari Cache and yes they have cleared it and are still having issues.

Try clicking the "dashboard" icon after logging in, that seems to complete the connection as usual if using safari on iphone.
The problem is they don't get that far, it just returns them to the login prompt.
