Specifically, Polls... The update link goes out and the member clicks on it and it asks to log in, but then lands at the dashboard.... How does one prevent that from happening?

make sure you are logged in before you respond to the poll. One thing that can help with this is the Persistent Login module. It puts a Remember me check box underneath the login and when checked you no longer need to constantly login.

I fixed that on my site under User management > Login Destination. Expand the Destination URL settings section and check the box labeled "Return user to where he/she came from". That also seems to have fixed another problem where logging in didn't always take me to the dashboard.

Tom, I can't find the "Login Destination" submenu. I see "Login Destination" enabled in my list of modules but under User Management I have 5 submenus - Access Rules, Permissions, Roles, User Settings, and Users. (I also expanded all of these and don't see any "Login Destination"). Am I missing some menus? Thanks.

On my site it appears in the User management menu between Access Rule and Permissions. Try flushing your caches to see if the menus refresh. You can find that under the little Groupanizer icon just to the left of the Content management menu. If that doesn't fix it then try permissions to see if you are allowed to administer the login destination module. Hopefully one of those will fix it.

If you just enabled Logon Destination, It takes a while to show up in the Administration menu up top, so click on User Management to bring up the full menu and should be in the list displayed.

Thanks Carole. That was it. It was there when I just checked again, about 24 hours after I enabled it.
