Music - upload more than one file at a time

When uploading music files currently we can only do one at a time.
This is not the case when uploading files via import content, you can import as many files at a time as you like.
It would be nice to have the same ability to specify a number of files to import in the music rather than have to sit through doing them one at a time.

I think you can use FTP to upload music. There is information about that on the Setup Wizard (tab in Dashboard)

The FTP capability was

The FTP capability was replaced with a multiple file upload capability, available through Content Management-->Files. A widget pops up showing your files and directories, and you can go to the "import" directory and use the "Upload files" function (which is accessed through the little icon that looks like a floppy disk...not exactly what that icon normally means so don't let it fool you). Through the Upload files widget you can add as many files to a list to be uploaded, unfortunately you have to add each file individually (not multiples by wildcard or regular expression).
So this capability is not as nice to use as ftp, at some point Tom said he would keep his eye out for a better tool but this is what is available right now.

This is all true BUT what I

This is all true BUT what I am looking for is specifically related to songs in repertoire where song files (learning tracks) are uploaded as attachments.
Right now they have to be uploaded one at a time.
Can anyone explain how to use the Upload files process found in Content Management to attach learning tracks to songs in repertoire?
If no one can explain it then I think I have posted my request for Feature Request appropriately.

I believe you can upload

I believe you can upload files and attach to songs the same way you would attach to book pages. You upload all the song files to the import directory (via the Files upload widget, after choosing the "import" subdirectory under your home directory). Then you would go to the song page and select the "File Import" tab. You should see the list of songs you uploaded to the import directory, and you can choose the files you want to attach to that page.

I don't have a  "File Import"

I don't have a  "File Import" tab on the song page.
I appear to have all modules relating to to the word "upload" or "import" active as well as all permissions related to those words.
But even if I did have that tab the process you outlined is more involved than what I have requested.

Hmmm. I do have a File Import

Hmmm. I do have a File Import tab on my song pages. Note that you don't see the tab when you're already editing the node, which is a bit counterintuitive. If that's not your problem,  I can only guess that something needs to be enabled for you which isn't. Do you see the File Import tab on regular book pages?
BTW, I'm not suggesting this method is easiest or most convenient, in fact I sorely miss ftp. But it is what is available and it's a bit better than one file at a time.

How do I give permission for

How do I give permission for say librarian to use elfinder to upload more than one file at a time, eg for learning tracks.
I have perused all previous Q & As and tried myriad permissions to no avail. As site manager I can access administer/ content management / files but  cant seem to give this permission to Librarian.
