Hey Carole - I also added some new text to that "has moved" page, so people know where to click to see the email archives. Hope that helps!
(Just clearing the menu cache now, which will take 20-30 minutes so that all groups can see the new link.)
Cheers,
Tom
For someone outside of groupanizer to email to my new mailing system lists do I only have to have "anonymous user" selected??
ie: People who are sending to my "musicteam" from their work email address (that is not defined in groupanizer) will they come through or be in the bounced emails?
I've already had some bounced and want to make sure that they will now get through.
Cheers
Katrina
Fro my bounced email log.
Assuming DMonastra has a Groupanizer account, you would need to add that additional email address to her account and she would need to confirm it. That would keep those emails from bouncing without opening the list to the world and Spam.
I now have another issue related to this. If I add all the email addresses that someone may send from under their account, this now means they are going to receive every mail sent to them at ALL these addresses. In some case 3 copies of it - 1 at their personal email, 1 at work, 1 at the family email address - all because they may send from these address to forums/old mailing lists!
From having a basic email structure that worked to now using these forums is a step backwards.
Am I missing something here that's over-complicating this?
Cheers

While you are working out these permissions issue can you give us the ability for anyone to post to a discussion forum via email. This was an option before and it seems that the current implementation still has some issues to be worked out.
We have several of the new email lists set up and working. With the previous version I could restrict who viewed certain lists. I'd like to do that again. Is that possible? If so how do I do it?

I'm having a problem with locked Forum topics appearing on the general membership dashboard. For example, we set up a locked forum for our management team. Management teams are receiving the emails specific to their forum discussions, but the threads to these discussions are appearing on the member Dashboard.....and if anyone clicks on those threads, they can read the entire message which is intended to be locked.
Is this a glitch or have I missed something in the dashboard setup?
Thanks

I used to have the block to display New Forum Postings on my dashboard but had to remove it when we when to the new mailing system.
Sorry my only suggestion is to remove that block from your dashboard
Is there any way to block the forum notifications in the Dashboard News Feed? Ideally it would show forum topics that were entered via the forum GUI but hide any emails that were sent to that forum. Especially as we are gearing up for the new fall season, the number of emails is overwhelming the News feed.
thanks, I don't think it's the same problem - these are not private forums, they are visible to the user, but I'd just rather they not see each little email in their news feed. They've already gotten the emails so they don't need it in their news feed, and the volume overwhelms the other stuff.

According to this post, they say the news feed issue has been resolved.... http://www.groupanizer.com/sticky-situationprivate-forum-topics-show-new... So I would email support and let them know that it is not.
