Anyone found a way to export the roster to either a PDF or CSV, either for printing or importing into another app (eg Outlook or a mobile phone)? I'd really like to see if this is possible somehow as my guys like to have our list available when they're offline.

I use CutePDF. Its a program that looks looks like a printer. When you print the roster choose this as your printer and it will produce a PDF of the roster. You can print the roster by right clicking on it any where and choosing Print. There are a variety of programs like CutePDF, most are free and work well.

I use CutePDF as well, but I wondered whether there was a way to have this as a feature provided by Groupanizer (i.e. generate it using some sort of link). Not too worried if I can't, but I'd love to be able to get it at least as a CSV so that I could generate my own formatted membership list.
Perhaps a new thread in the suggestions forum...

I have also been looking for a way to export the member list to CSV.... So I can update my phone.. I was hoping when Tom made the Filter updates to the Member list, that would have been included... but it wasn't Sigh

I would like a CSV as well, with the capability of chossing fields to view - at a minimum, I would like the roster view, plus the birthday (without the year), titles, and roles.
Also some of my members have been adding bits of information about themselves in their profile notes (her obituary, one called it) but noone else can see that information.

There is a really good Add-on for Firefox called Table Tools that makes it simple to grab any table from a web page and save it as tab-delimited text that can be imported into a document or spreadsheet. You could use that to grab the roster view.
If you want to get at fields that aren't in any of the existing screens then you'll probably need to look into the Views module. It has a steep learning curve but it will eventually do what you need.

We would also like to be able to download the information, both the members and contacts, so that we can use it for things like mail-merge or giving to a printer to generate pre-addressed form letters. I will check out the Table Tools add-on mentioned above, but it seems that it would be a very useful feature to have from within Groupanizer.

I found a conversion program called Free Opener at freeopener.com. Once installed on my computer it showed up at the bottom of every Groupanizer page that is set up like a spreadsheet. Examples are Membership, attendance etc. It shows up as " export to cvs". just click that and the page, with succeeding pages showing up as an interactive spreadsheet. which can be saved, printed, whatever. There is no cost for this download. Give it a try.
