We need a way for members to print the roster to carry with them if they choose. Not everyone is tech savvy enough to use the 'export to Excel' option.

In IE 9, have a member click on the Roster View, then print it from the browser with the printer button from the tool bar. It is not perfect as it puts a bunch of stuff up at the top of the page and you do need to adjust the the margins, to .25in on the left an right and make sure shrink to fit is on.
I agree, there needs to be a print button that will format and print the roster view. The other thing that could be done, is someone in the chorus format the excel version into PDF and offer that up the chorus as something that could be printed.

I did just that. Exported the roster to excel created the printable version that we used to distribute and then made a pdf of it. Posted the pdf under Documents.

Yes, I've been working with that, BUT it doesn't seem to retain any of the filters. We have the roster view set to filter to only 'Members', but when I hit the Export to CSV at the bottom it exports ALL the records and I basically have to filter AND format AND save to PDF. Would be so much better if the reporting could be built in so that any member could print a roster.

Yep - this is on our list, and we love the idea. In the meantime, Ian Harrop found a module that does this, and you can read about it here. Or, you can print the screen with pretty good results (And your logo on top) - see the forum topic here.
