At retreat this weekend one of my less techie members asked if there was any way she can print the roster? A print button linked to a report would be nice. Also the ability to 'lock' the roster view as the default for members.

Hey Amy,
The roster view can be printed, but perhaps not in the "print friendly" way you're imagining. I do have this as a ticket already, although it's rather down the list.
Also got your suggestion about making the roster the default view on the user list. Good idea.
Cheers,
Tom
I tell you, Amy Rules!

Uploading a pdf ...
For the time being we have created a pdf of our roster - based on the membership records - then uploaded it into documents so a member can download and print via pdf. I am looking forward to a more integrated solution.
By the way - the Barbershop Harmony Society provides a download of Chapter Membership. It this database query can be improved it is feasible to really integrate the roster to post based on Society ID. Just dreaming!
By the by the way - is there a way to download the SING roster information to my local machine?

How to get a printed version of the Roster:
1) click on Member List, its found in the top menu
2) on the page that opens right under the words Member List at the top-left of the page there is a drop-down box that says List View. Click on that box and select Roster View.
Now all you have to do is print it.
You can just right click anywhere on the roster and select Print (my preferred method)
Or you can do it using the menus. Depending on your browser it’s slightly different:
- Internet Explorer or Firefox: select File at the top-left of your browser and then click on Print
- Chrome: select the tool menu at the top-right of your browser and then click on Print
You'll get a printed version of our Roster with your logo at the top of the first page, and on the header line of each page the date is printed so you'll always know which copy of the Roster in your briefcase is the most recent!

I don't have any links that say member list. Where do I find this?

I know this thread is long out of date, but I have to echo the desire to set ROSTER VIEW as the default. I can't tell you how many members I've gotten email from recently, telling me that they can't access email addresses for other members - because they are locked out of the member profiles, and don't know to click "Roster" instead of the view that is default. ALL despite my telling them this again and again....

I'd really like to be able to print out a sign in sheet from the attendance tab which is what I usually print out....

I am going to add a ME TO for both of those things... We use both and manually do it, where a report should not be that dificult. Though being able to export the list these days makes it alot easier.

I think Tom has it in his head to add a printable CSS file that would allow you to print a version of a number of pages without the extra menus etc. I think it's coming, but I'm sure he's got lots of things on the to-do list. I know I could do with this as well.
