The answer is probably on the board somewhere, but I don't have time to search for it right now.
It used to be when we first started using Groupanizer that when we logged in it would go straight to the Dash Board. Now it seems that it goes to a public site page. How do I re-direct it to the dash board for everyone?
Also, I believe it used to be that when I added a brand new user and they logged in for the first time, it asked them to update their profile. It no longer does that. Is there a way to make it do that?
Thanks,
Jesse

Redirect to Dashboard or My Account on login

Right you are -- it's been answered here: http://groupanizer.com/how-direct-user-login-dashboard-landing-page

Ok, that looks familiar. Problem is that it's not working. I tried both of the following:
1. In Admin / Site Building / Menus, I followed the directions and changed it to http://sj.groupanizer.com/dashboard. When I log in it shows the public site page. The navigation bar on the left side is gone, but the main public page is shown, not the dashboard.
2. We do have a public site (or at least I'm trying to get one done, but finding it very difficult to figure out. There will be many more messages about that, I'm sure). I changed admin / Site Configuration / Site Information to /dashboard on the end, then when I log out and go to the page, it's asking me to log in. So, I changed that back to page/public, which is what I want for now.
Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Jesse
Alright, I kind of figured it out, but it's not exactly what I was looking for. I had the login right on the public page in the region on the left. When I log in that way it would show me the public page. So, I removed that and added a "Member Login" option to the menu and made it's path the dashboard. Now when they click that it asks them to log in and after login they go directly to the dashboard.
Problem with that is on our main web site (which will soon be moved to Groupanizer which will solve this problem) I have a button marked "Members Only" which they click that redirects them to Groupanizer. Now, they have to click a button "Member Login" again to finally get in. Maybe I can get them to put up with this until I can get this switched over to Groupanizer.
Thanks,
Jesse

Hi Jesse,
Yeah, that sounds right - I don't actually like to keep the login info all on that front screen for that reason - I like using that valuable 'real estate' to promote membership/shows, and keep it more for the public (our members can always bookmark the signin page after all). :)
Sounds like you found your solution - good sleuthing!
