Removing the /page/ from URLs for public pages

If you have a public site and what to create URLs for things such as Shows (e.g www.chorusname.org/show) to use on flyers and publicity, here is  how to remove the /page/show and still make the page publicly accessible.

In the Page Edit menu URL path settings add an alias (uncheck the automatic alias option) and add your own alias such as show. Use a relative path and don't add a trailing slash or the URL alias won't work.

Then add other paths to the list at Admin > Site config > Admin theme > Custom Pages - Do not use administration theme on the following pages.: Add your path that you gave your page (in the page setup) for example-  show. If a path appears here, the administration theme is not shown even if all above options apply.

The page will use your Public Theme and use the url you specified.

Hope this helps.
