In your spare time, just wanted to give you an update on a discussion from this past GALA meeting regarding a Member Data Base (on line choir management). After much deliberation and research by our I.T.
Implementing Groupanizer within our organization was the single best administrative decision we have made in years. The team at Groupanizer worked tirelessly with us to make sure we could get as much value from their service as possible.
"As a Canadian elite-level chamber choir embarking on a new stage in our journey (with a new artistic director appointed and coming up on our 30th anniversary season in 2013/2014) we had so many BIG dreams about developing a public website that could really show the world who we are and what we c
"We took a look at Groupanizer because of its integration of calendar, roster, downloads and mailing list management. Groupanizer kept us from having to build these functions into our Joomla based web environment with the limited time constraints of our web guru."
"Our chorus was growing at a pace that required a better system than Sharepoint. We wanted things to make our lives easier, more effective, provide our artistic director with Riser Placement, etc. We also wanted a more "social media" like interface for our members.
Considering what we have to work with and where we started, everyone in this small Chorus is really impressed with the final result. We don't have the splash, cash, nor achievements of big show chorus, so figuring out a marketing angle was tricky.
Even though Groupanizer is a new addition to 52Eighty we are already seeing the advantages of having such a well polished membership communication tool. As with almost any youth chorus the challenge of communication can seem like herding headless cats.
