I just had occasion to start exploring Webforms, and must sadly report that they don't seem to be working. Either that or I'm missing some stupid thing. Here's the messages I got when I created my first webform:
- user warning: Table 'tom_ptc.webform' doesn't exist query: INSERT INTO webform (nid, confirmation, confirmation_format, redirect_url, status, block, teaser, allow_draft, auto_save, submit_notice, submit_text, submit_limit, submit_interval) VALUES (1008, '', 1, '<confirmation>', 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, '', -1, -1) in /home/tom/public_html/gsing_prod/includes/common.inc on line 3538.
- user warning: Table 'tom_ptc.webform' doesn't exist query: SELECT * FROM webform WHERE nid = 1008 in /home/tom/public_html/gsing_prod/sites/all/modules/webform/webform.module on line 1134.
Doesn't look good, eh? But I cheerfully ignored that and tried to add a field. That got me this:
- user warning: Table 'tom_ptc.webform' doesn't exist query: SELECT * FROM webform WHERE nid = 1008 in /home/tom/public_html/gsing_prod/sites/all/modules/webform/webform.module on line 1134.
- user warning: Table 'tom_ptc.webform' doesn't exist query: INSERT INTO webform (nid, confirmation, confirmation_format, redirect_url, status, block, teaser, allow_draft, auto_save, submit_notice, submit_text, submit_limit, submit_interval) VALUES (1008, '', 1, '<confirmation>', 1, 0, 0, 0, 0, 1, '', -1, -1) in /home/tom/public_html/gsing_prod/includes/common.inc on line 3538.
- user warning: Duplicate entry '1008-1' for key 1 query: INSERT INTO webform_roles (nid, rid) VALUES (1008, 1) in /home/tom/public_html/gsing_prod/sites/all/modules/webform/webform.module on line 969.
- user warning: Duplicate entry '1008-2' for key 1 query: INSERT INTO webform_roles (nid, rid) VALUES (1008, 2) in /home/tom/public_html/gsing_prod/sites/all/modules/webform/webform.module on line 969.
- user warning: Table 'tom_ptc.webform_component' doesn't exist query: SELECT MAX(cid) FROM webform_component WHERE nid = 1008 in /home/tom/public_html/gsing_prod/sites/all/modules/webform/includes/webform.components.inc on line 705.
- user warning: Table 'tom_ptc.webform_component' doesn't exist query: INSERT INTO webform_component (nid, cid, pid, form_key, name, type, value, extra, mandatory, weight) VALUES (1008, 1, 0, 'clientname', 'Client Name', 'textfield', '', 'a:5:{s:13:\"title_display\";s:6:\"before\";s:12:\"field_prefix\";s:4:\"Name\";s:8:\"disabled\";i:0;s:6:\"unique\";i:0;s:20:\"conditional_operator\";s:1:\"=\";}', 1, 0) in /home/tom/public_html/gsing_prod/sites/all/modules/webform/includes/webform.components.inc on line 708.
- user warning: Table 'tom_ptc.webform' doesn't exist query: SELECT * FROM webform WHERE nid = 1008 in /home/tom/public_html/gsing_prod/sites/all/modules/webform/webform.module on line 1134.
And although it SAYS "New component "Client Name" added, the list below says "No Components, add a component below."
So is it something dumb I'm missing, or is there really a bug?

Dude, that's awesome. Only not. That's weird. Have you since then tried this again? Perhaps it was a one time glitch. If you've tried again and are receiving the same messages, the only thing I can guess from the messages is that perhaps the webform module doesn't like the Garland theme. Not to knock the Garland theme too hard, but it's pretty ghetto. I know it's the default, but when I started with Groupanizer my first mission in life was to find a theme better than Garland. So the first thing I would suggest would be to try deleting that existing form (if you haven't already), then try making a new one. If the same messages popup, my next suggestion would be to try switching to a different theme, if not only temporarily so you can then try creating a webform again. If at that point you still get the messages, I'm out of ideas. BUT, if at that point it works successfully without the messages, my theory might prove true.
Good luck! :D

Well, Dude, I finally got around to re-testing. Changed to Marinelli and tried again. Got this:
So it's not the theme. Any other thoughts? I'd like this to work so I can set up a more complicated form.
