I have a strange problem with a user who can sign into the site from his office computer and use the site normally. But from his brand new laptop with Windows 7 he signs in, but sees nothing except the sign in page. It looks like he's logged in from my perspective (I see his name in the sidebar) but he can't do anything.
Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any thoughts on what might be the cause? I'm going to ask him to download Firefox and see if the problem persists, but I thought ask here in the meantime.
thanks

It's a 3rd party cookies issue with Internet Explorer. If you're using a frame redirect to your Groupanizer URL, IE will block the session cookie. I finally caved and switched my redirect to HTTP so people would stop complaining and so I wouldn't have to explain the problem again.
Your options are:
1. Have them use ANY browser other than IE.
2. Have them browse directly to your Groupanizer URL instead of the redirecting URL.
3. Change your DNS redirect so it doesn't mask the URL.
And now that I mention all that, the only other thing that I don't think I ever tried was to add your redirect URL into IE's trusted sites list.
Within IE:
Tools> Internet Options> Click to the Security tab> Click the Trusted Sites icon at the top> Move slide bar at left to the bottom (Low); no slider? Click Default Level at middle right then move slide bar to bottom> Click Sites> Make sure "Require server verification" is unchecked> Key your redirect URL in the available field and click Add> Click Close> Click Apply> Click OK> Close completely out of IE, open it back up and try logging in again.
That might be worth a shot. If you have them do that and it works. let me know. :D

Thanks for this - moving to Firefox fixed it for him, but I've asked him to make the changes above - will let you know what happens.
cheers,

@Gadget424: Thanks for the tip. Making *.groupanizer.com a trusted site does the trick. I looooove Microsoft...
